Experience

Giglio, between excursions and nature.

The Island of Giglio, nestled in the heart of the Tyrrhenian Sea just a few kilometers from the Argentario, is a gem of unspoiled nature and breathtaking landscapes. Its terrain, predominantly mountainous and composed of imposing granite rocks, culminates at 496 meters with the Poggio della Pagana, from which one can enjoy a spectacular view of the entire Tuscan Archipelago.

Its coastline, extending for 28 km, offers a fascinating alternation of smooth cliffs, secret coves, and golden beaches, while the inland area is crossed by an ancient network of paths once traveled by the Gigliesi and their mules. The island is home to three charming settlements: Porto, Castello, and Campese. The medieval village of Castello is one of the best-preserved in Italy, while Campese boasts a magnificent sandy bay framed by the characteristic sea stacks.

Boat tour

Sailing around the Island of Giglio is a unique experience, a journey through crystal-clear waters, hidden coves, and spectacular landscapes. Setting sail from the port, the wind fills the sails, and the mainland is left behind as the boat glides smoothly along the coast. The sea, a deep blue, reflects the sun while the island reveals its most authentic beauty: smooth granite cliffs, secret coves, and golden beaches that can only be reached by sea. After a pleasant sail, the anchor is dropped in one of the island's beautiful inlets, such as Cala delle Caldane or Cala del Corvo. Here, time seems to stand still: the transparent water invites a dive, while the scent of the Mediterranean scrub blends with the sea breeze. You can swim among the fish, explore the seabed with a mask and snorkel, or simply relax in the sun, rocked by the gentle motion of the boat. After the swim, it's time for lunch onboard, an experience that combines the pleasure of sailing with the joy of good food. On the table set up under the canopy, you can enjoy typical Giglio flavors: a plate of pasta with fresh fish, accompanied by a glass of Ansonaco, the local white wine with an amber hue.

After lunch, the journey continues, slowly sailing along the coast to discover new hidden corners and enjoy the tranquility of an afternoon at sea. Among the sound of the waves and the calls of the seagulls, the sailboat offers an unforgettable experience, an authentic connection with nature and the true soul of the Island of Giglio.

Wine Experience

At the southernmost tip of the island, immersed in the evocative and almost surreal atmosphere of Capel Rosso, there is a remarkable stop to be made: a visit to the Fontuccia Farm.

Giovanni and Simone Rossi are true pioneers, guardians of an ancient tradition and bold architects of the landscape. With determination and passion, since 2009 they have reclaimed small plots of land from the garigue, restoring terraces in various parts of the island to create extraordinary wines. Their Ansonica Senti oh tells the story and soul of Giglio, while the 'Nantropo' is born from the fruits of "seasoned vines" that, for nearly a century, have withstood extreme environmental conditions.

This is not just a wine discovery, but a true journey into the wild heart of the island, among dry stone walls made of granite and breathtaking views. Here, where the paths are steep and the harvest is done exclusively by hand, the wine carries with it the authentic taste of Giglio, infused with the sun, wind, and the sea that caresses the vineyards. An intense experience, blending nature, passion, and tradition, leaving the unmistakable flavor of a unique island in the soul.

Cooking Class

Gastronomy is a strong point of Giglio: the cuisine, simple and authentic, enhances local flavors with dishes such as pasta with fish, caciucco, and palamita alla gigliese. The typical dessert, panficato, encapsulates the island's entire tradition. A must-try is Ansonaco, a white wine with a distinctive amber-yellow color, emblematic of the island's centuries-old winemaking tradition.

At the Capel Rosso Lighthouse, cooking classes are organized upon request, where participants can join the lighthouse chef and learn how to prepare the island's traditional recipes.

Wellness between sky and sea.

Immersed in the golden light of dawn or enveloped by the fiery colors of sunset, practicing yoga and bioenergetics on the terrace of the Capel Rosso Lighthouse is an experience that rejuvenates both body and mind. Here, at the southernmost tip of the Island of Giglio, time slows down, and the breath harmonizes with the rhythm of the waves crashing against the rocks. Every pose, every breath, every movement becomes a deep dialogue with nature. The wind caresses the skin, the scent of the sea purifies the thoughts, while the gaze drifts toward the horizon, where the deep blue of the water blends with the sky. The practice of bioenergetics amplifies the connection with oneself: rooted to the earth and open to the flow of vital energy, tensions dissolve, the senses awaken, and a powerful sense of well-being is unleashed. In this corner of paradise, far from the chaos and immersed in the island's wild beauty, yoga and bioenergetics become an inner journey, a wave that flows through the body, bringing balance and serenity. The Capel Rosso Lighthouse is not just a place but a state of mind: a sacred space where one can be cradled by the sea and rediscover one's center, in perfect harmony with the universe.
